Transitioning in Berlin
Schwulenberatung has published this excellent guide for those considering transitioning or gender affirming care in Berlin.
Counseling for trans people
Queer Leben/ Inter* Trans* Counselling is a counseling center for trans*, inter* and non-binary people or see the flyer here.
Transinterqueer offers psychosocial counselling around the topics of trans, inter and nonbinary.
General Resources for trans people
The Transgender Map is a free website which shows how to make a gender transition. It tells about gender identity and gender expression, as well as the social, legal, and medical ways to make a transgender transition. It includes a links page for some German based resources.
The DIY HRT Directory aims to teach transgender people how to safely perform DIY Hormone Replacement Therapy. It includes content for Transmasc and Transfem people.
TransHub is a digital information and resource platform (Australian focussed but contains lots of great information).
Trans*DB is a directory of medical services and community offerings throughout Germany. Available in German only.
Trans Reads is a collection of “texts by, for, or about people who transverse or transcend western gender norms”.
Translist has a listing of Trans friendly medical and other resources in Germany. Available in German only.
Transfem resources
Transfeminine Science is a resource for original informational content on the subject of transfeminine hormone therapy. The website includes a range of articles, and an Injectable Estradiol Simulator.
All about Injections is a page with information and video tutorials about how to properly perform injections. This Transgender Injection Guide published by Fenway Health is also useful.
TransMASC resources
TransMann is a Germany wide contact point for Trans* Men (including binary and non-binary people) and inter* people. The main tasks of the group are to inform and to support. The website contains a wide range of information and resources. Available in German only.
