Counselling services and information
In any given year, one in three adults will suffer from a mental illness, but it's hard to work out what help there is available, and how to access it. This brochure gives detailed information in English on psychotherapy services that are available in Germany and how to access them (not LGBTQIA+ specific).
There are a number of LGBTQIA+ specialty organisations (as well as some that are LGBTQIA+ friendly) in Berlin that focus on counselling and therapy, each with a different focus. Some of the most helpful links are as follows.

Lesbenberatung offers a range of counselling services to lesbians, bisexual women, trans*, inter*, non-binary and queer people, and also offers legal advice and a library.
MILES is a project of the Lesben– und Schwulenverband in Deutschland (Lesbian and Gay Association in Germany) and offers psychosocial and legal counselling as well as support for LGBTQIA+ refugees and people with migration backgrounds.
