What Awareness brings to you and your Organization: Fostering Understanding and Safety Through Awareness

Enhancing Awareness and Creating Safer Spaces

At its core, awareness is a mindset. It involves self-reflection, acknowledging one's actions, and respecting the boundaries of others. Our unique identities include factors like race, gender, sexual orientation, and more, influencing how we express ourselves and where our limits are.

Personal boundaries are completely individual and that is absolutely OK.

The Role of an Awareness Team:

An Awareness Team stands as an independent group dedicated to ensuring that all event participants understand the importance of awareness. When faced with situations related to judgment, consent, discrimination, aggression, substance use issues, or distress, the Awareness Team steps in. Operating with a non-judgmental, non-violent approach, the team prioritizes de-escalation, well-being, and empowerment.
